Welcome cousins to our website dedicated to the Davenports.
POST REUNION NEWS
Another fine meeting we had, Cousins. Smaller by count from previous years, but still fun and informative. We had a lot of new faces to talk to this year and both families (Davenports and Kelleys) well represented with newcomers. Our Davenport and Kelley/Kelly kinfolks like Sidney, Bub, Fred, Belle, Rollie, Sidney Jane, Laban C., Elijah Leek, Joseph A., and Jack were probably smiling at so much comaraderie and socializing going on between family members. We had such a short time to take it all in. We had a few mishaps, but that's ok, we came and did. That's what counts. We missed those of you that didn't get to make it. We will catch you on the next go round hopefully. Now, to the next time we meet. Much discussion took place when it came to deciding when we will meet again. All "ayes" were cast for Oct. 12, 2013. As to where is still up in the air. We will settle on the place by Christmas and have it out to all of you by Jan. That way you will have time to think about it and prep for coming, hopefully. There was also talk of having a get-together or mini-reunion, as it was called, this summer somewhere around a swimming hole. Look for future info about this. We have so many kin far and wide that it would be unfair to expect them to all make the trek up here to Reagan Wells. Sooo, let's take the reunion to them. And the "ayes" carried on this vote, too. Be sure to check out the [email protected] site as we will get our pics and info out there. Also, on Facebook, look for "Davenport Family Texas Branch". Finally, we took time to acknowledge the passing of one of our own, Faye Gulley Robinson, daughter of Harvey and Nina Davenport Gulley. We heard of none others, but she and anyone else of our families will be sorely missed. Until you hear from us again, we hope that your holidays and coming year will be great. Love to all of you, Family.

This site is dedicated to Our Family Heritage which we are very proud of here in the Great State of Texas. In 1852 our family arrived in Sabinal Canyon in Uvalde County and we haven't left since. We have just branched out all over Texas. This site is dedicated also for keeping our family in touch with one another and to the further education and the preservation of our families, truly amazing history. If you would like to share any old family photos and stories, we will be setting up e-mail addresses onto this site as well. You will also be able to share photos with your family and friends. Plus check out our Blog so we can stay in touch with Our Davenport / Kelley / Kelly / Robinson relatives so we can grow and educate our future generations for many years to come. Check back soon and pardon our dust because this site will be growing from this day forth.
