Old Family Photos
This section will be dedicated to the old photos back through the earlier generations of Davenports. I will be taking the photos that I recieve and touching and cleaning old ancestorial photos in Photoshop to help preserve these photos of our families history for family to enjoy now and for our many generations to come.

The "Old Davenport Log Cabin". Historical Marker Text: Originally an early settler's 1-room log house on the dry Frio (1 mi. N), built in era of Lipan-Apache raids and infestation of this frontier by outlaws. Enlarged for his family of 12 by L. C. ("Clabe") Davenport, who moved here about 1884. Added were a second log room, a hall, stone rooms on rear. After cattleman Davenport prospered and built a frame home, the old cabin still was used as kitchen, dining room and guest rooms. Recorded Texas Historic Landmark - 1967.

This is Claiborne Smith Davenport, Emmit and Lily's son, with his son Phillip Clay in 1949. He was the sweetest man!
John McCormick davenport son of John w davenport and Emma Kelly. They had 12 children James, Raymond, George,John Mc, Lila, Rollie, Georgie, Tomo, Ira, Dovie and Newell. George was Bitten by a rattle snake and died at age 12
